E314 Wilsele - Aarschot: construction of a rush-hour lane - Phase 3
Phase 3 with seven subprojects
Having previously been active on the E314, where we carried out preparatory works (Phases 1 and 2) between Wilsele and Aarschot for the construction of a rush-hour lane on the E314, we were allowed to post there for a while longer for Phase 3 of the project.
Phase 3 of the project comprises seven subprojects. Subprojects 1, 2 and 3 include a thorough structural maintenance of the E314 between Wilsele and Aarschot, combined with the construction of a rush-hour lane on the E314 in the direction of Lummen. We are also constructing breakdown shelters, installing signal bridges with dynamic lane signals and replacing all existing road lighting. The crossing under the motorway of the Winge (a 1st category watercourse) in Rotselaar will also be adapted and extended.
As part of subprojects 4 to 6, we are rehabilitating the underside of the Wilsele viaduct (steel structure), renovating the underbridge E40/O25 in the Heverlee complex, including renovation of the upper and lower sections, and, finally, renovating the underbridge E40/025 in Oud-Heverlee.
The last and seventh subproject consists of the installation of a signalling gantry/signalling bridge in Sterrebeek across both lanes of the E40, as well as the construction of two breakdown shelters.
