After an intense five-day operation, STADSBADER CONTRACTORS, part of Stadsbader Group, successfully reopened the E313 to traffic last night within the planned timeframe. Since Friday evening, the construction site in Deurne had been the scene of a large-scale operation, drawing on the expertise of multiple departments within Stadsbader Group. A remarkable example of collaboration, preceded by careful and precise planning.
In the summer of 2025, construction of the two new bridges began in the work zone. Last Friday, the old bridges at Sterckshoflei and Cornelissenlaan were demolished, after which the new structures were moved into their final position. Thirty excavators removed 5,000 m³ of soil and filled 12,000 m³. The four bridge sections, each weighing 2,700 tonnes, were moved and positioned with millimetre precision. At peak times, no fewer than 84 trailers and 150 people, including mobile crane operators, surveyors and site management, were active on site.
