WEST STATION METRO DEPOT

The aim of this assignment was to build an outdoor metro depot on the West Station site. The works consisted of extending the existing Jacques Brel depot, along Infrabel's tracks, to create 10 metro depots. Track 14 of the staging yard was extended on the outside. The track runs above the existing metro tunnel, then enters the tunnel under Ninoofsesteenweg and finally splits into two. High platforms were provided on both sides for the passage of people and a forklift truck. In the middle, a platform was created to integrate the annexed buildings. This assignment also included the installation of tracks and points on the site.
