A14/E17 - Installation of noise barriers at Zwijnaarde and De Pinte
The installation of noise barriers along the E17 motorway reduced noise pollution for the Den Beer residential area (De Pinte), the area around Pont Noord (De Pinte) and the houses in Heerweg-Zuid in the Zwijnaarde area.
The soundproof screen was constructed with single-piece steel HEA profiles driven into the ground with sound-absorbing panels in between, supported on a precast concrete plinth. The sound panels are of concrete type.
