Ecoduct and wooden bicycle bridge
By analogy with the already existing ecoduct De Warande near the regional border with the Walloon Region, a second ecoduct was built just south of the DOVO station. This ecoduct is 35m wide and 5.5m high.
The construction of the ecoduct involved, among other things, marking out the outer limits of the earthworks, demolition of the existing roadway and cycle path, work on the forest edge at the ecoduct and at the roadway with reinforced soil, and construction of the new roadway and bicycle path.
South of Langendaalstraat and Margrietenpad, a new wooden bicycle bridge over the N25 was built. As with the ecoduct, local adjustments were made to the existing ecoraster, and new pieces of ecoraster were installed.
