Construction of the surface disposal facility for radioactive waste

On behalf of Niras, the NucleusSafe construction consortium is building a new disposal facility for radioactive waste. The NucleusSafe joint venture comprises Deckx Algemene Ondernemingen, ASK Romein, BESIX, Vanhout and STADSBADER CONTRACTORS.

As part of this project, we are responsible for the building works. These include constructing the structures for the various modules, as well as the steel framework surrounding the building, roof waterproofing and building services installations.

This project demonstrates the multidisciplinary expertise and vertical integration within Stadsbader Group. Each company contributes complementary expertise: STADSBADER CONTRACTORS is responsible for the concrete works and project management, ASK Romein supplies the steel framework surrounding the facility, and Deckx carries out the infrastructure works and technical installations.
