Bridge Bertem

The Heerbaan bridge over the E40 will be transformed into a bridge where an ordinary bridge and an ecoduct are combined. Half of the bridge remains reserved for cyclists, pedestrians and farmers, the other half is unpaved and serves as a wildlife crossing. In this way, the bridge becomes an important link between nature on both sides of the road.
