Redevelopment of Leuven Vaartkom banks another step closer
The Leuven Vaartkom has undergone many transformations in recent years. With the redevelopment of the Leuven Vaartkom banks, we will finally transform the new city district into a green place where it will be pleasant to spend time. After all the permits have been issued, we can start work on widening and greening the Victor Broosplein, including play and seating areas. This will preserve the view of the Vaartkom. We will work on creating a water garden, with wooden platforms connecting the square and the banks with the Vaart. The North and South banks themselves will also be given a green character, with footpaths on and alongside the water. A great example of our focus on the sustainability and liveability of public spaces!
