Project in the spotlight: Valleipark Alken

The redevelopment of Valleipark in Alken is taking shape! Earlier this year, we gave the Kleine and Grote Herk more space, including the creation of a winter bed. Currently, we are building a new fish ladder, allowing fish to swim upstream easily between the two streams.

In addition, we removed no less than 4,000 m² of paved surface, which will soon be ecologically restored to allow fauna and flora to thrive in the park. With the construction of new bridges, Valleipark will also be fully accessible to pedestrians and cyclists.

Step by step, Valleipark is becoming a place where nature, water, and recreational experiences come together.
